This game is an RPG for the Gamboy Advance.

It tells the tale of the world of Weyard and how 4 heroes must save the world against the forces of evil o_O

The game starts in the hometown of the main hero Isaac, in the village Vale. There is a mountain in the game north of Vale in which elemental stones lie, 4 in total.
The 'baddies' in the game try to steal the stones but fail causing a boulder to fall from the mountain and destroys Vale, the game is then set years later, and Isaac, his best friend Garet and Jenna another friend and a scholar Kraden decide to go in the mountain known as Mt.Aleph.

Once they reach the summit, they discover the elemental stars and the baddies come from nowhere and demand them, they take the scholar and Jenna captive and take 3 of the gems when suddenly the mountain starts to erupt.

Then a floating rock with an eyeball saves the trapped Isaac and Garet whilst the others escape, the wise one says to collect the remaining elemental stones/stars to prevent the worlds destruction.

So now, the game actually begins, it has a massive world map, lots of side-quests and tons of magics/weapons/amours/items to browse/use and loads of enemies to kill.

The battle system is 100% turn based and the game has some nice graphics for GBA.. the music is also nice too.

The whole idea of the 4 elemental stars is to stop the baddies Saturos and Menardi from lighting the 4 lighthouse beacons placed in opposite end of th world, in this game, only 2 lighthouses are available (other 2 in the sequel Golden Sun : Lost Age).

This game has summons to use as well, and has many bosses, puzzles, dungeons , caves etc to go through, its a long game, and can be played repeatedly without boredom.

Perhaps one of the best games for the GBA as said by many sites/magazines etc
The game ends after the baddies are defeated in the 2nd lighthouse, and Isaac goes in search of Jenna's brother Felix, who vows to light he remaining beacons [he is a baddy in this but a good guy in Golden Sun 2 (main character)]

Anyways, they get a Lemurian Ship and go sailing and the game ends, at the end of the credits, there is a short clip which shows a part of Golden Sun 2.

All in all its an awesome game.

The last time I played Golden sun 2, properly, was probably around 2 years ago. I loved this game so much, great game, nothing better.
Actually, I got the game when my cousin, he lives somewhere to the south of London, and he is much older than me, but he showed me Golden Sun 2 on his GBA.

I remember clearly when I used to visit him every 4 – 6 months that he used to be on Golden Sun, and show me random awesome movies. However, since I was so young and uninterested in RPG’s then (I was more interested in games such as Spyro).

When he showed me Golden Sun 2, and Fire Emblem, I just wanted to get FE. Fortunately, when I went to the games shop to buy FE, they were sold out, and I say fortunately, because if it had not been for the fact that FE was sold out I would not have gotten GS2.

When I got GS2 I was on it for days on end. I played it, then played it, then played it. I also got extremely agitated at time due to the amount of repeating steps just to get one action to follow (Magma Rock was the worst).

What I liked about GS2 was the variety of weapons, story line, the funny moments, the characters, etc…

The worst part I had in the game at all was when I was fighting the last boss. I was under-levelled, and fighting the doom dragon was a pain. I had nearly killed the damn thing, but it used “cruel ruin”. The battle took me 1 hour 45 minutes, and it was all wasted.

When I had finished GS2 I was really annoyed, I didn’t know what to do, so I started playing Spyro again, however, it was not the same. So…. I decided to play the game AGAIN. Keep in mind I was only around 9 – 10 when I played GS2.

When I restarted, I played through the game with ease since I started the new game at the level I was (lv 49)

After that, I don’t remember much, but what I do remember after I played the game again another 5 times was this.

Every time I restarted, I got a few levels higher. It first increased by 40, then 20, then 10, etc… Getting harder and harder.

However, at the end, in the cave that the turtle takes you into, I fought blue birds, which after a long time got me to lv 99.

After lv 99, I took on the doom dragon for fun, and it was killed with 10 – 15 hits with the soul blade.

Anyways, GS2 is an amazing game, and if you want to play it, either buy it, or download the rom and emulator, you will not doubt one moment, except maybe Magma Rock and the Doom dragon :/.

As always, I add a video to my posts, so here is one just for you guys! Oh and its at lv 99 like my one.

This is an RPG on the Nintendo DS. Originally this game was for SNES then PSone, then the GBA and eventually the proper remake came for the DS.

The one for all the consoles except DS had the same old style graphics, although great gameplay.
DS made full use of its potential and created this new 3-D version complete with animated scenes with voiceovers and a nice FMV at the begininning of the game.

The game tells the story of Cecil, a knight of Baron, and how he becomes from a dark knight wroking for an imposter king, to a Paladin, warrior of light so to speak..
Kain, Cecil's rival and friend in battle accompanies him in his journey.
The king sends Cecil and Kain off to a village to supposedly deliver a ring, little do they know, its actually a ring of fire, which ends up destroying the whole village, a girl called Rydia, a summoner in the game eventually joins your team.
Cecils 'lover' Rose, also joins your team and a ninja from the castle Elban called Edge joins your team too.
This is your main team throughout the game, although other characters join your team temporarily.
The actual game is about gathering 4 light crystals and 4 dark crystals from the Overworld and the Underworld before Cecil's enemy Golbez (his brother which you find out later on) does.
The story has a lot of depth and is quite enjoyable and serious too.
The fighting system is quite good too, its turn based but for each characer to attack etc a gauge bar must fill up, you can control the speed of this bar in the options for fast or slow battles.
This game is VERY hard if you are playing it for 1st time, you must muster tactics for the bosses at the end of each 'level'(level meaning like cave, dungeon scattered accross the 2 worlds etc) each boss is very tough in the game and require difficult tactics as opposed to just attacking to defeat, this makes the game quite a challenge.
Eventually, Golbez sees sense by his uncle Fusoya, and travels to the moon with him (lolwut)..
Anyways, you can travel the big wide worlds (Over and Underworld) each which has many places to visit and dungeons etc to master.
You can use various ships/boats etc to travel to every inch of the world maps.
Eventually again, you get a ship Lunar Whale, which travels to the moon.
The point of this is to go the Crystal Palace thingy which is on the moon, and to go to the core of the moon through it to defeat the last boss Zemus.
The game can be played 3 times total on a same save file, and on the 2nd and 3rd time its played through, you can fight super bosses which adds the impossibility feature on this game..
It is nigh upon impossible to defeat these bosses even when all your characters are maxed stats and levels, adds something work for i guess..
Game is a must buy in my opinion.
Thanks for reading.
